Not much is known about this prototype other than it is the predecessor to SDR-3X and was first unveiled to the public at 'QRIO Technology Park 2004' in Ginza. There are no videos of the robot functioning - only pictures of it as a static display at the event. However there were private demos of the robot being held for various trusted individuals internally in 1999.
Given the physical similarities and shared actuators/limb layout, it is safe to say it is probably very close to SDR-3X in functionality, with SDR-3X repackaging the technology in a friendlier look and making minor improvements before public debut.
Only one unit has been seen before and the status of the robot is unclear as it hasn't been seen since 2004. It is most likely in Sony's private archives.
このプロトタイプについては、SDR-3Xの前身であり、銀座で開催された「QRIOテクノロジーパーク2004」で初めて一般公開されたこと以外、ほとんど何も分かっていません。ロボットが動作している様子を捉えた動画はなく、イベントでは静止画として展示されていた写真のみが公開されています。しかし、1999年には社内の信頼できる関係者向けに、このロボットのプライベートデモが行われたことがあります。
物理的な類似点やアクチュエータ／アームのレイアウトの共通性を考慮すると、機能面ではSDR-3Xに非常に近いと言えるでしょう。SDR-3Xは、より親しみやすい外観に技術を再構成し、一般公開前に若干の改良が加えられています。
これまでに目撃されたのは1台のみで、2004年以降は確認されていないため、ロボットの状態は不明です。おそらくソニーの個人アーカイブに保管されていると思われます。
