'138' is possibly the earliest ERS-210 DVT prototype to appear, with number of differences to the retail unit visible. It has differently shaped eyes on the faceplate that feature a more harsh incline - this would later be altered to have a slightly softer eye shape and the plastic would have a buffed texture to diffuse the light from the LEDs.
The core is highly unusual in that the battery compartment and MemoryStick bay are motified - both seem to have parts crudely shaped by hand.

There are no other labels on the body of the robot, but a yellow sticker suggests that this prototype is related to another prototype named "Buster", which also has this style of sticker reading "168".
