This is an earlier EVT prototype of the ERS-1000 before the design was fully fleshed out. While the body resembles the 1000 in form (with the addition of access holes for debugging wires to be fed under the shell), the face is quite different. The faceplate features two small eyes that are widely spaced apart and the ToF sensor window is just cut out holes in the plastic. It appears that the faceplate detaches into two pieces, allowing easier access to the camera array in the nose.
It seems everything sensor wise is present and the touch sensor strip can be seen through the semi-translucent plastic.
Not much is known about the prototype, but it can be deduced that it tests hardware that was later found in the retail version.
