Prototype briefly shown in the background of a Japanese TV documentary in 2017 about aibo's development. The body looks mainly the same as a retail ERS-1000, but the face is a metallic silver finish and the front legs have paws that can twist inwards. Its possible that at one point in development the team was considering having paws that could move independently to give the aibo more expression and possibly to manipulate objects in a slightly different way.
