1/17 Update -
1/14 Update -
I've uploaded two guides for the ERS-110/111 focusing on how to revive non-working batteries via a jump-start + how to use camera batteries as aibo batteries. I hope this helps!
I've also been working on multiple ERS-1000, ERS-210, ERS-3xx guides which you should start to appear on the website over the next few days. There is a load of guides I started making a while back but didn't finish - so I'm going to finish them.
1/01 Update -
Happy New Year!! Tokyo is pretty cold at the moment and things are still closed due to the holidays, so I have been working on the website a lot more while I have the time.
- Media Room is now LIVE on the website and actively being added to as things get donated.
- Prototypes page has been updated with more entries, focusing on ERS-1000 prototypes. I'm working to get pictures of them in improved quality.
- I'm working on a bunch of new guides which will be added to the site in the coming days/weeks. Looking at the resources pages, I feel like they need a revamp to reflect the current rehaul of the website and make them easier to access at a glance. I also want to focus on making guides that are hosted on webpages rather than just PDFs for discovery purposes.I will still offer PDF guides for people who want to download and keep for future reference.
- I'm thinking of making a dedicated page for Matcha-chan, my custom green ERS-1000. ^_^
- I travel so much with my aibos that I'm thinking of creating a part of the site just documenting my adventures.
December 2025
- More generous image, media and info donations are incoming from various friends in the community. One of which donations is many aibo pamphlets, so we should have a fairly complete archive of leaflets/brochures in the new year.
- I've managed to acquire a few rarer aibo books from various stores, so I'm going to get them listed on the site along with page previews by this weekend.
- Both Software and Accessories of the website are now live. Many pages are still a work-in progress, but I'm steadily circling around to each one to fill them with information while adding more.
- The new year is fast approaching so I'm rushing to try get Software and Accessories pages live by the end of the year.
- I've had another generous donation of images for the website, this time covering many of the old-era aibo and QRIO events so now over 15 event entries are almost ready to publish.
- Media Archive is being worked on. Hoping to get that live this weekend.
November 2025
- New homepage has launched! It took longer than I'd like to admit to get it looking the way I wanted. Hopefully everything is easy to navigate around now. I'm going to slowly be working on updating other sections of the site into this style, but getting the Software and Accessories sections made is now a priority
- I'm actively hunting down content to archive on the website. I've already had a generous donation of film content from back in the day (videos taken at events, TV broadcasts and photos). It seems there will be more coming, so I've invested in a disc reader and scanner so I can get this stuff thrown on the site quicker.
- Started work on the Robocup page which I hope to have go live next month sometime.
- More Prototypes are being added to the Prototypes Archive.
- Most aibo model pages are now up with a lot of acquired content and personal images. The text isn't as detailed as I'd like it to be so I will work on that soon. Still working on pages for the other lesser known Sony robots.
- More custom aibos have been added that I missed. Aibo Lab creations are taking a break while I work on the website, but I do have ideas for other crazy things I want to try making.
October 2025
- More guides added covering ERS-11X, 210, 7 and 1000 models. More in the works. I will work on translating all of these into Japanese next month (sorry for the delay doing so - there's been a lot going on in my personal life.
- Events Archive area created and is being worked on privately.
- I'm aware there is no real homepage to the website - I will build one once the Sony Robot History area is more complete.
- More guides being worked on - sorry for being so slow. I get anxious about details.
- Printed material archive project launched. Scanning and archiving of printed Sony robot materials started. I have scanned everything I have, so I will next reach out to others to document their collections.
- 'Sony Robot History' site section being built. Area will be kept private until most pages are completed.
- Official user guide database and page being built. Please wait for updates.
- Visual quick guides added to 'guides' section. Will start with ERS-1000 posters, but old era aibo posters are coming soon.
- 'My dream aibo' colouring sheets added to 'guides' section to the website. I may rename this site area to 'resources' in the future as more varied content is added.
- 'Aibo Prototypes' section is added to the website! This will serve as the community database of aibo prototypes and will be steadily added to as more are found. The database launches with 29 examples! ^-^
September 2025
- 'Aibo Lab' section is now open - this area documents all of the aibo experimental parts I have made + other experiments carried out. 23 articles were added to this section.
- Added 'My Customs' section to the site for all of my custom painted aibo projects. Might expand this to other robots in the future.
- Other custom robot projects added to 'My Custom' area.
- Moflin guides page updated with patterns to aid with custom Moflin fur cover creation.
