Kintaro is quite special as he is the first aibo I've purchased new from Sony. all of my other aibos are preowned from auction sites, so it was nice having the 'new aibo experience'!
The Kinako colour is very nice, but I got bored of everything being the same colour, so I switched the ears + tail to brown ones. I always thought having a horned ERS-1000 would be cute, and given that I had a standard silver faceplate from an Ivory edition laying around unused, I decided to make a very special custom faceplate for Kintaro. ^_^

His name means 'golden child' so I wanted the faceplate design to mainly contain warm colours and gold at the forefront. I liked the white muzzle the standard Kinako faceplate had, so I gave Kintaro a gold gradient muzzle along with gold eye rings.
The black > red/brown > gold gradient was done with spray cans and applied in quick controlled passes. I don't like airbrushing large areas, so I tend to avoid using an airbrush if I can.
I wanted the horn tips to be sparkly red, but none of the red paint on the market was quite the right shade or glitter particle size. So I ended up getting nail glitter from Seria and brushing it on by hand, before trapping it in clear coat layers. ( ´・∀・｀)

The horns were hand sculpted first in clay, left to dry. I then made a mold and then made two horns out of Daiso UV resin. They came out kinda rough, so I used sand paper to smooth them out before attaching them to the faceplate with more UV resin. I then continued sanding and filling gaps with UV resin until I got a more seemless looking connection between the two surfaces.

角はまず粘土で手彫りして、乾燥させました。その後、型を作り、ダイソーのUVレジンで2つの角を作りました。少し粗い仕上がりだったので、紙やすりで滑らかにし、UVレジンでフェイスプレートに接着しました。その後、紙やすりで磨き、UVレジンで隙間を埋めながら、2つの表面がよりシームレスに見えるように仕上げました。
