Held on the 7th floor of the Miraikan (National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation) in Tokyo as part of a related event. Sign up for the event was done on a first come first serve basis and tickets were made available 2 hours before the time slot.
The event area transferred the auto robot cafe shop seating area into a themed cafe, complete with a screen area, plush stars and a carpeted area. There were also Hanamoflor colouring sheets stuck up on display which had been filled in by children from past events.
Hanamoflor’s event started as a general presentation going over the project mission and purpose of the robot, before talking about how Hanamoflor had been trialed in care homes to gauge reception of the robot by residents. The creator demonstrated some of the robots features, such as being able to sing, converse with people in a natural way and give instructions using its tablet hand.
These features would be properly demonstrated when getting to the activity potion of the cafe event, where Hanamoflor led participants through creating Hanamoflor themed ice cream treats, complete with Hanamoflor biscuit.
Afterwards people could freely interact and take pictures with the robot, which was popular with children that had joined in with the event.I took this time to talk to the creator about the some of the more technical aspects of the robot, which you can read about on the main Hanamoflor page.
Participants were given a Hanamoflor sticker for participation in the event.

イベント会場は、オートロボットカフェのショップ席をテーマカフェに改装し、スクリーンエリア、ぬいぐるみの星、カーペットエリアなどが設置されました。また、過去のイベントで子どもたちが塗り絵したハナモフロールのぬり絵も展示されていました。
ハナモフロールのイベントは、プロジェクトのミッションとロボットの目的に関する概要説明から始まり、ハナモフロールが介護施設でどのように実証され、入居者からのロボットの受容度が測定されたかについて説明されました。開発者は、歌を歌ったり、自然な会話をしたり、タブレットハンドを使って指示を出したりといったロボットの機能をいくつか実演しました。
これらの機能は、カフェイベントのアクティビティコーナーで実際に披露されました。ハナモフロールのガイドが、ハナモフロールビスケットを使ったハナモフロールをテーマにしたアイスクリーム作りを参加者に体験させました。
