Buyers tip: If you want an ERS-210 with a working head - look underneath at the core sticker!
Above is a comparison of pre-supercore and supercore head era cores. Neither are 'supercore' cpu bricks, however if the aibo has the sticker design on right that states '2000-2001 Sony Corporation', the aibo will have a supercore head with the new improved clutch design which is more resistant to DHS. Basically aim to buy an aibo with this sticker if you are looking on Mercari or Yahoo Auctions!
Sony started silently including the new clutch design in standard ERS-210s later on. Aibos that went in for repair for DHS also either had the new clutch servos installed or the entire head was replaced with supercore heads with new clutch design.
