This running prototype was shown at a Sony event in the early 2000s. Not much is known about it as there aren't any videos of the demonstration available, but we can see it uses an ERS-111 as its base and utilises a thinner leg setup, similar to Boston Dynamic's 'Spot' robot which is more suitable for running fast. Power delivery is via cord rather than built in battery pack.
