The chrome-faced prototype ERS-1000 was first shown during Aibo Fan Meeting Vol.2 when the show host was discussing the process of designing the animated eyes. It was used to demonstrate three rejected eye designs that were under consideration during development. This prototype also seems to have chrome ear hubs and a different, more integrated nose design.
