The energy station core is an optional accessory that turns the included plastic stand of the ERS-3xx series aibos into a full-fledged charging station. The core is placed into the gap in the stand and then screwed into place in the underside.
The core is able to charge the aibo, change date, time, timezone and allows aibo to perform on the dock.
Unlike the ERS-2xx dock, it cannot charge a second battery nor store Memorysticks.
